Prorider was established in 1986 when KTM Australia (then Bert flood Imports in Victoria) set out to meet the growing demands of NSW's off road community. A great deal of off road activity was spread wide across NSW back then but the hub of enduro competition came out of Sydney and this is where KTM and Pelle Granqist decided to set up shop.

Pelle (the Swede) had been a household name in Australia MX & Enduro competition. With his great off road expertise and KTM's leading edge approach to motorcycling Prorider grew into the front running distributor of KTM bikes, spares and mechanical services, including WP suspension.

In 1994 Ross McWatters, fresh out of the Peter Jackson Team Yamaha Management roll, brought Supercross professionalism and experience to Prorider Motorcycles. Ross lead us in the ever improving enduro era & through the ever successful Thupernat Nationals that even brought back into racing World MX legend & now KTM Australia Team Boss Jeff Leisk.

In 2001 growing success brought with it the demand to expand. The need to go to the next level saw Sal Barone match the ever increasing professionalism of the importer Butmac P/L under Jeff Leisk. Prorider KTM Motorcycles entered its new Smithfield & current premises and has expanded its operation & output tenfold to also include Enduro Engineering Products from the USA.

Today we are more ready and technologically advanced. But there are things which we value more than others and will never leave behind or neglect.

Prorider continues to provide quality service & professional workmanship while attempting to provide the motorcycle community with everything and anything it may need to successfully participate in off road or on road recreation. With the expansion of models seen from KTM we have expanded ourselves in meeting with these demands, above & beyond.
